Adjusting to quarantine hasn’t been easy for anyone. Having to cancel all of our in-person classes was a huge bummer for all of us at Sharing Languages. Despite this setback, we have made some changes to adjust for the circumstances! Founder Kathy Hu noted, “Since we’ve had to stop our in-person classes, we’ve come up with creative ways to still help students learn and stay engaged.” One of these adjustments includes daily Instagram posts with fun language learning activities. There are “puzzle Thursdays,” fun facts about Hispanic countries, and Spanish words of the day… all to help students continue their acquisition of the Spanish language. But don’t worry—there will be French activities too! Kathy also added that “we’re going to send out fun, weekly activities including games and worksheets in Spanish and French so that students can continue to learn languages at home.” We have a strong dedication to continuing teaching languages to students in Baltimore, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure there are resources available to them.
